Replica Giant Flying Squirrel Skull
There are eight species of giant flying squirrel native to forested regions of the Middle East, Japan and Southeast Asia. Despite their name, giant flying squirrels do not truly fly. Instead, they use a flap of skin, connected between their ankle and wrist, to glide from tree to tree. They are arboreal and nocturnal and feed on various plant parts such as fruits, seeds, nuts, pine-cones and saplings.
